Is "Goes" Your Last Name? Yes. jk.

I get this question a lot. My last name is actually Summerrow. Not as cool I know lol. I'll explain.

I graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2015 and moved to Sydney, Australia because the thought of immediately jumping into adulthood made me smile nervously. I booked my flight and left in September to live with family I had living on the Northern beaches.

I got my first video camera for Christmas when I was 14 and I've been making videos ever since. The thought of the setting of my videos changing from the suburbs to Sydney kept me up at night. I was ecstatic to shoot somewhere else. However, I wasn't quite sure how I was going to do it.

After some thought I decided I would start a travel vlog and call it PrestonGoes. I ended up seeing countries I'd only seen in movies and making a few videos along the way and it was more than I could have ever imagined (click here to watch).

Once I got back to Atlanta, I quickly found that my passion for videography expanded past travel videos. I was hired on to a team that believed in me and stretched my capacity creatively. There I was able to partner with incredible brands across the country to launch their business to the next level through video.

I’ll always be thankful for my time there and for the opportunity to develop my technique and find my niche. I’m now on my own getting to chase some pretty big dreams and do what I love full-time, creating videos that make people feel something. That's the goal. I get to wake up every day and do what I love and I still can't believe it

I feel lucky to do what I do, and for years I've told people that even if I made zero money doing this, even if no one watched the videos, I would still make them because I truly just like doing it. .

PrestonGoes isn't JUST travel vlog anymore. I think its more a reminder TO SEE that all the growth that's happened in my life, professionally, relationally, and spiritually has always started with movement. With getting up and going. Taking the risk to MOVE towards growth even when the thought of it has you paralyzed. That's what I want to do with the people I partner with, move their vision forward. Grow their brand into something that feels out of reach through video. I believe that starts with going.
